JOB TITLE: Components Engineer - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX
PAY RATE: $75.38/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

    Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Support resolution of complex design requirements, material selection, and coordination issues

    Perform detailed obsolescence management at the part level:

      Monitor BOMs

      Identify replacements and alternate sources

      Implement fixes to avoid production delays

    Conduct design reviews and apply quality standards for compliance with internal and external requirements

    Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to analyze component data and ensure quality

    Collaborate with design engineers, vendors, and cross-functional teams

    Enforce PMPCP compliance and support end-to-end processes including design, testing, and lifecycle support

    Present findings and updates to program management and customers

    Travel to customer and supplier sites as needed

Requirements:

    BS or MS in a technical discipline

    Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (Active not required to start)

    5+ years of experience in each of the following:

      Component engineering

      Obsolescence mitigation

      Product lifecycle management tools (Windchill, Agile PLM, etc.)

      Communicating with manufacturers and external suppliers

    Experience with quality and compliance documentation, SPC analysis, and vendor standards

    Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
