JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Upholstery Technician II - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Fabricate and install flat panels and curtains using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications

    Sew simple covers and work with materials such as fabric, vinyl, leather, and composites using adhesives, sewing machines, hand tools, and power tools

    Cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and install panels

    May fabricate metal parts and fit/install panels, windows, cabin headliners, upper sidewalls, lower panels, hatch panels, etc.

    Use the material tracking system (Corridor) to create parts demands, track squawks, and sign off work

    Collaborate with lead and senior technicians to implement process improvements that increase safety and efficiency while reducing costs and cycle time using Lean Manufacturing principles

    Maintain compliance with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment as required

    Proactively address unsafe conditions to prevent risk to others

    Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

    High School Diploma or GED required

    2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades

    Aerospace industry experience preferred

    Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

    Proficient with measuring tools and basic math

    Computer literacy required

    Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift

    Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
