What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a high-performing team supporting the Warfighter Simulations and Services (WSS) Agile Release Train. Your primary focus will be on the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) project, where you will:
Design, develop, test, and integrate software features using C++ and/or Java.
Work in a Linux-based environment to model Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) capabilities.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle—from concept to deployment.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Contribute to warfighter readiness through simulation and modeling applications.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with object-oriented programming in C, C++, or Java.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with C++ or Java in a professional setting.
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
Background in missile defense, infrared surveillance, or modeling and simulation.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Pay Details: $59.89 to $66.62 per hour
