PDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced and driven Mechanical Operators to join a leading Tucson-based aviation manufacturing company. In this high-impact role, you will be hands-on with cabin pressure systems that play a vital part in aircraft safety and performance.

This is a full-time, onsite position with opportunities for overtime, career advancement, and skill development in a fast-paced, quality-focused aerospace environment.

What You'll Do – Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Operator in the Cabin Pressure team, you'll:

• Manually assemble precision mechanical components such as valves, regulators, ducts, and pressure systems using hand and power tools.

• Operate and maintain automated assembly and testing equipment.

• Perform manual soldering and quality inspections to meet strict engineering specifications.

• Set up machines, perform line changes, and conduct preventative maintenance.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical assembly issues independently.

• Work closely with your team to ensure high-quality production within tight deadlines.

What We’re Looking For – Qualifications

Required:

• 4–5 years of mechanical or production technician experience—a must.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• High school diploma or equivalent with a commitment to ongoing education.

• Proficient with hand tools, assembly processes, and quality inspection.

• Ability to interpret and follow technical documentation and blueprints.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with physical demands.

Preferred:

• Experience in the aviation/aerospace industry.

• Certifications in mechanical assembly or soldering.

• Knowledge of SMT processing systems, functional test fixturing, and documentation control software (Excel, Word, Lotus Notes).

• Familiarity with in-circuit and functional test procedures.
