Pay: $21 to start, $23 once on 2nd Shift | Schedule: Train on 1st, move to 2nd 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced and driven Mechanical Operators to join a leading Tucson-based aviation manufacturing company. In this high-impact role, you will be hands-on with cabin pressure systems that play a vital part in aircraft safety and performance.
This is a full-time, onsite position with opportunities for overtime, career advancement, and skill development in a fast-paced, quality-focused aerospace environment.
As a Mechanical Operator in the Cabin Pressure team, you'll:
Manually assemble precision mechanical components such as valves, regulators, ducts, and pressure systems using hand and power tools.
Operate and maintain automated assembly and testing equipment.
Perform manual soldering and quality inspections to meet strict engineering specifications.
Set up machines, perform line changes, and conduct preventative maintenance.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical assembly issues independently.
Work closely with your team to ensure high-quality production within tight deadlines.
Required:
4–5 years of mechanical or production technician experience—a must.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent with a commitment to ongoing education.
Proficient with hand tools, assembly processes, and quality inspection.
Ability to interpret and follow technical documentation and blueprints.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with physical demands.
Preferred:
Experience in the aviation/aerospace industry.
Certifications in mechanical assembly or soldering.
Knowledge of SMT processing systems, functional test fixturing, and documentation control software (Excel, Word, Lotus Notes).
Familiarity with in-circuit and functional test procedures.
