Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Collaborate with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Translate requirements into system, hardware, software designs, and interface specifications
Conduct testing and validation to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements
Monitor supplier performance for compliance and successful system integration
Provide support for fielded hardware/software throughout the product lifecycle
Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential business applications
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree with typically 5 or more years of experience in an engineering role, or a Master s degree with typically 3 or more years of experience.
ABET accreditation preferred but not required
Degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, chemistry, or physics
Experience in system requirements analysis, schematic design, and hardware/software integration
Familiarity with communication standards and interfaces: RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, MIL-STD-1553
Knowledge of military hardware design/testing standards: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472
Proficient with CAD tools and electrical schematic creation
Experience using JIRA for project management, including cost/schedule tracking and SOW execution
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles or relevant certifications
Experience in network design
Familiarity with systems engineering tools and metrics (e.g. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management)
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Background in product/systems development and integration
Technical domain expertise (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons systems)
CompTIA Security+ certification
