Location: Tucson, AZ | Payrate: $20 -$23 | Schedule: 1st shift 6am to 2:30 pm

As an In-Process Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining rigorous quality standards, ensuring that every component and process meets precise technical requirements. Your work will have a direct impact on flight safety, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.
This position involves complex inspection tasks guided by diverse technical procedures. You'll have the independence to determine the best methods to complete assignments and provide functional guidance to others when needed. You will be instrumental in problem-solving, driving quality improvements, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Perform in-process and product-level inspections to verify compliance with engineering specifications
Inspect both electrical and mechanical components for workmanship, accuracy, and functionality
Use precision inspection equipment including comparators, pin gauges, CMMs, and hand tools
Check soldering, wiring, component placement, and overall assembly quality
Ensure that Manufacturing Process Standards (MPS) and customer quality criteria are strictly followed
Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend solutions for process optimization
Assist in updating and maintaining product-specific work instructions
Initiate investigations and manage non-conforming material including coordinating with suppliers
Provide guidance to operators and ensure proper implementation of quality inspection procedures
Experience in quality inspection within aerospace, aviation, or electronic manufacturing environments
Solid knowledge of SMT processes, soldering standards, and assembly techniques
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical specs, and dimensional drawings
Familiarity with quality and manufacturing standards such as IPC, AS9100, or similar
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and documentation systems
Experience with in-circuit and functional test fixturing
Background in mentoring or training team members on quality practices
Proficiency in using advanced inspection tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
