We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Quality Engineer II to play a pivotal role in ensuring product integrity and operational excellence for a key aerospace client. In this critical role, you’ll drive quality across the supply chain and product lifecycle—impacting everything from design and development to production and delivery.

Your Role at a Glance

As a Quality Engineer, you will partner with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure that every product we deliver exceeds expectations. You’ll lead root cause investigations, manage continuous improvement efforts, support supplier and customer relationships, and help introduce new products with flawless quality plans.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced quality professional ready to take ownership of critical quality systems in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Act as a customer liaison, responding to issues and coordinating corrective actions

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using DMAIC methodology to reduce scrap, defects, and costs

• Oversee process capability and control plans, ensuring manufacturing consistency and reliability

• Collaborate with suppliers and the Supplier Quality Engineer to manage external quality

• Develop and execute quality plans for new product introductions, including PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and control plans

• Investigate and resolve quality problems on existing products, from the factory floor to the customer

• Maintain and recommend QA equipment, measurement tools, and calibration standards

• Write and revise QA documentation to reflect best practices and customer requirements

• Conduct internal audits and support AS9100, ISO 13485, AS9102, and Nadcap compliance efforts

• Apply statistical methods to improve engineering and production quality

• Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions

• Provide technical guidance to inspection staff, and support day-to-day operations in the quality department

• Report regularly to leadership on QA performance and strategic quality initiatives

• Ensure full compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations, technical documentation, and government contracts

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Mathematics, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, medical device, or regulated electronic manufacturing environment

• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or FAA Part 21

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and technical documentation systems

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection techniques

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Must pass vision and color exams (20/20 visual acuity with or without correction)

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)

• Experience in military-spec, medical, or aviation component manufacturing

• Familiarity with Nadcap requirements and aerospace customer compliance protocols

• Experience with statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies
