Contract: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months) | Pay: $60.00–$65.00/hour

We’re currently seeking a Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Technician to join our client’s team in Kinston, NC. In this role, your expertise will directly support aircraft integrity and safety, playing a crucial role in upholding the highest engineering standards in the industry.
As an NDI Technician, you will:
Use non-destructive inspection (NDI) methods (Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Radiography, etc.) to evaluate aerospace materials and components without causing damage.
Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (A-Scan and Thickness) on composite materials, ensuring compliance with strict engineering and quality standards.
Set up and calibrate NDI equipment, process parts, and interpret results for acceptance or rejection, documenting findings accurately.
Create and approve procedures and work instructions, provide on-the-job guidance to trainees, and supervise inspection processes.
Perform audit surveillance, initiate and document non-conformances, and ensure adherence to specifications and procedures.
Take technical responsibility for the NDI facility and its equipment, and assist with training and certification of personnel.
Required:
NAS-410 Certification with verified UT hours (signed off by a Level III NDI).
Level I and Level II Ultrasonic Testing training documentation.
Minimum 800 hours of documented Ultrasonic Testing experience.
Experience with graphite composites in an aerospace environment.
Ability to pass Jaeger #1 Near Visual Acuity Test and Ishihara Color Vision Test at start of assignment (cost reimbursed if taken onsite).
Must be able to pass a General Exam on Day 1, and a Specific and Practical Exam during the first week.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a second-shift aerospace manufacturing environment.
