About the Role
As a Testing and Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of highly sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic systems for both commercial and military aircraft. With the responsibility to test and assemble components that ensure the safety and efficiency of aerospace engines, your work will have a direct impact on the reliability of critical systems used across the globe. 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Perform precision assembly, inspections, calibrations, and testing of hydro-mechanical fuel controls in an aerospace production environment. 

  • Operate specialized tools and measuring equipment like micrometers, dial indicators, and depth micrometers. 

  • Follow detailed work instructions, engineering specs, and blueprints to ensure top-quality standards are met. 

  • Conduct visual inspections of parts and products, identifying any defects and initiating corrective actions when needed. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities to enhance product quality and production efficiency. 

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. 

 

What We’re Looking For: 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) 

  • Strong mechanical and technical experience, especially in an assembly or testing environment 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions 

  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools 

  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation) 

  • Solid math skills 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2-3 years’ experience in an assembly/test manufacturing environment 

  • North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certification (Silver or Gold) 

  • Six Sigma training or certification 

  • Associate’s Degree 

  • Ability to troubleshoot and work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting

  • Experience with 5S principles and continuous improvement activities
  • Have led or actively participated in a continuous improvement manufacturing activity

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
