About the Role:
As a Testing and Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of highly sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic systems for both commercial and military aircraft. With the responsibility to test and assemble components that ensure the safety and efficiency of aerospace engines, your work will have a direct impact on the reliability of critical systems used across the globe.
Your Responsibilities:
Perform precision assembly, inspections, calibrations, and testing of hydro-mechanical fuel controls in an aerospace production environment.
Operate specialized tools and measuring equipment like micrometers, dial indicators, and depth micrometers.
Follow detailed work instructions, engineering specs, and blueprints to ensure top-quality standards are met.
Conduct visual inspections of parts and products, identifying any defects and initiating corrective actions when needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Strong mechanical and technical experience, especially in an assembly or testing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions
Familiarity with precision measurement tools
Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation)
Solid math skills
Preferred Qualifications:
2-3 years’ experience in an assembly/test manufacturing environment
North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certification (Silver or Gold)
Six Sigma training or certification
Associate’s Degree
Ability to troubleshoot and work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting
