Location: North Charleston, SC
Job Type: Full-Time (12-Month Contract)
Shifts: Must be available for both 1st (6:00 AM – 2:45 PM) and 2nd shift
Pay Rate: $31.79 – $35.32 per hour

 About the Role

As a Quality Test Specialist at PDS Tech Commercial, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of aerospace components. Your expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT) will directly impact the quality of products that take to the skies, supporting innovation and excellence in the aerospace industry.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license. 
 

 What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate specialized non-destructive test (NDT) and measurement equipment
• Develop and refine testing procedures and processes
• Perform inspections and collect critical data
• Analyze and document test results, recommending corrective actions when needed
• Provide feedback on quality trends and assist in continuous improvement
• Conduct training for certification preparation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

 What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in:
  • X-ray testing
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Eddy Current Testing
• Associate degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 3 years of related work experience in quality testing or aerospace manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in NDT methods (NAS 410, ASNT, or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced aerospace or manufacturing environment
