Summary:
Perform basic setup and operation of autoclaves and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond metallic and non-metallic aircraft parts and assemblies
Assist in selecting parts and assemblies for simultaneous bonding based on processing requirements and autoclave capacity
Assist with placing racks and tools containing parts and assemblies into autoclaves
Connect thermocouples and vacuum lines to fittings on tool ports or inside the autoclave
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, supporting the company's FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and 5S programs, and complying with all safety regulations
Retrieve scheduled DWP lay-up tools from storage and prep tools for the bond room lay-up process
Assist with the breakdown and cleaning of tools containing cured parts
Store cleaned tools in designated storage areas
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of one (1) year of related experience or autoclave operation experience
Basic knowledge of computers and related systems
Valid driver s license required to obtain GAC cart and forklift certifications
Must possess or obtain a Q-Stamp (within 12 months of hire) for approved autoclave operations
Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints
Familiarity with the operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, electric tow mules, and other necessary tools
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow Gulfstream manufacturing procedures
Basic math and computer skills required
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
Must be available to work any shift
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
