Location: Mobile, AL | Payrate: $18.50 | Schedule: 2nd or 3rd shift. Training on 1st shift.

As a Corrosion Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring every aircraft that passes through our Flowline is clean, protected, and ready to take on the skies. The Corrosion Specialist is responsible for applying corrosion protection products and performing detailed cleaning tasks throughout the aircraft assembly process. Your expertise ensures that every component of the aircraft receives the treatment it needs to stand up to time, weather, and demanding flight conditions. You will work in both interior and exterior environments — including confined spaces — using specialized tools, authorized chemicals, and your critical knowledge of protection procedures.
Apply corrosion protection products to all sections of the aircraft during the assembly process
Clean aircraft interiors and exteriors using hand tools, powered equipment, and chemical cleaners
Perform surface preparation by removing metal shavings, debris, and liquids
Work in confined spaces and serve as a confined space attendant when needed, maintaining safety protocols and emergency response procedures
Install formal protective covers and other aircraft safeguarding methods
Follow all environmental and safety regulations in the handling and application of cleaning agents
Participate in LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives
Identify and communicate process improvements for corrosion protection and cleaning methods
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience with corrosion protection and cleaning operations, preferably in an aviation manufacturing or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) setting
Ability to follow precise safety, chemical handling, and confined space protocols
Capability to complete Company specific training after hire
Preferred:
Formal training from a vocational school or previous employer in corrosion protection, cleaning tools, or application techniques
Experience in a high-production aerospace or defense environment
Strong attention to detail in safety-sensitive environments
Ability to work independently and in team settings
Commitment to workplace safety, compliance, and quality
Willingness to engage in ongoing training and continuous improvement
