Location: Kinston, NC | $34–$37/hr | Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)

PDS Tech Commercial is on the lookout for detail-driven Assembly Technicians to join our high-performance aerospace manufacturing team in Kinston, NC. In this hands-on role, you’ll help bring cutting-edge aircraft components to life, working directly on the structures and systems that power the aviation industry. Your craftsmanship and commitment to quality will ensure every part meets rigorous standards of performance and safety.

 What You’ll Be Doing

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications

• Assemble and install aircraft components and subassemblies to quality standards

• Operate manual and automated tools for drilling, sealing, inserting fasteners, painting, varnishing, and countersinking

• Perform functional checks, pickup work, rework, and change incorporations

• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality

• Move parts, tools, and assemblies within the shop using appropriate equipment

• Document discrepancies and initiate corrective actions

• Participate in inspection and cross-training to become SIA qualified

• Support and mentor other technicians to drive continuous workflow

• Perform basic equipment maintenance and total preventative maintenance duties

 What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Ability to work any assigned shift and weekends/overtime as needed

• Physically able to stand for full 8-hour shifts

• Demonstrated ability to read technical documents and work with precision tools

• Must be local or able to relocate (local candidates strongly preferred)

• $110/week per diem for qualified non-local candidates (100+ miles from site)

Preferred:

• Prior aerospace assembly experience (structures, subassemblies, fasteners)

• Experience with quality inspection and initiating corrective actions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
