Pay Rate: $43.48 – $55.98 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Structures Engineer to support a major aerospace program in Everett, WA. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the development and execution of advanced manufacturing strategies that directly influence the production of next-generation aircraft. Your expertise will help shape the tools, processes, and systems that ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

What You’ll Do

As a Structures Engineer, you will:

• Lead the creation and maintenance of manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define as-built configurations.
• Develop and implement manufacturing concepts and strategies aligned with business goals.
• Prepare build analyses and cost estimate reports to support planning and budgeting.
• Oversee the integration of suppliers, materials, processes, and technologies to meet production and delivery targets.
• Define and manage complex tooling requirements from design through end-of-life.
• Investigate and resolve systemic manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Conduct producibility assessments and contribute to enterprise-level benchmarking.
• Develop work statements, event sequencing, and scheduling templates to support delivery commitments.
• Draft and update processes and procedures to meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Establish and document new job practices, techniques, and standards.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of aerospace manufacturing planning experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proven experience in writing and revising work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with PDM, CAPP, and CMES systems.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
