Shape Aerospace Manufacturing from the Ground Up

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled and driven Structures Engineer to support a leading aerospace manufacturer in Everett, WA. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in developing and maintaining the core manufacturing plans and processes that bring complex aerospace components to life. Your work will directly influence production efficiency, quality, and delivery timelines—making you a key player in the success of next-generation aircraft.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

What You’ll Do

As a Structures Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configurations.
• Create and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Review and approve supplier data to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements.
• Define tooling requirements and manage tools from design through end-of-use.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues to maintain production flow.
• Conduct producibility assessments and provide input to design and process improvements.
• Draft and update processes and procedures to meet business and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop integrated work statements and event sequencing for production schedules.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of aerospace manufacturing planning experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience in writing and revising work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with systems such as PDM, CAPP, and CMES.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under general direction.
