Location: Wichita, KS | Full-Time, Consultant (6 Months) | Pay: $33.80 – $39.31/hr | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 11AM–7PM

We’re seeking an entry-level Quality Systems Specialist to support an exciting project in Wichita, KS. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
As a Quality Systems Specialist, you’ll be working in a highly organized, computer-driven environment supporting the quality assurance and compliance needs of an aerospace manufacturing operation. Your role is key in upholding the standards that ensure products meet customer, program, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support quality assurance planning by reviewing proposals, contracts, and requirements
Assist with updating and maintaining quality directives, procedures, and process documentation
Organize and maintain detailed quality records and documentation
Collect and compile data for audits, material review disposition, and process improvement analysis
Help prepare for hardware, software, and systems audits
Assist with metrics tracking, source selection support, and other entry-level quality functions
Work closely with a collaborative team under guidance and training
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in organizing, auditing, and maintaining quality records
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work first shift (11AM–7PM), with flexibility for shift changes or weekend needs
A collaborative mindset and the ability to follow structured processes with consistency
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Preferred (Not Required):
Previous experience in an aerospace or manufacturing setting
Basic understanding of ISO or AS9100 standards
Familiarity with audit preparation or compliance reporting
