Job Type: Full-Time | Consultant (12-Month Contract)
Location: Lenexa, KS 66219
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Weekend OT: Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
At PDS Tech Commercial, we’re searching for a highly detail-oriented Inspection & Quality Technician to help uphold the highest standards in aerospace manufacturing. Based in Lenexa, KS, you will play a vital role in ensuring incoming materials and components meet rigorous design and safety standards.

As a Receiving Inspector, you’ll verify the quality and compliance of a wide range of aerospace components and raw materials, ensuring only top-tier parts enter the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect parts, assemblies, and materials using precision instruments (micrometers, thread gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, calipers, etc.)
Validate compliance with blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
Approve components and assemblies during receiving inspection
Operate SAP and other systems for inspection data entry and reporting
Verify Certificates of Conformance (CofCs), Material Certifications, and vendor documents for accuracy
Perform visual and dimensional checks on incoming units and subassemblies
Review and validate vendor-submitted First Article Inspections
Organize and manage inspection documentation and records
Required Qualifications:
Prior experience in mechanical or aerospace inspection
Proficiency using common precision inspection tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and quality documentation
Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource systems
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
Strong organizational and administrative skills
