What You’ll Be Doing:
In this entry-level role, you’ll receive hands-on training and mentorship as you learn the fundamentals of aircraft cabinet finishing. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Learning and performing surface preparation and finishing techniques using sanding, polishing, and masking tools.
- Following engineering drawings and safety standards to prepare materials and apply finishes.
- Using adhesives, solvents, and finishing compounds to treat cabinet surfaces with precision and care.
- Working with the material tracking system to document progress, sign off completed tasks, and report issues.
- Supporting a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment by following all 5S and PPE guidelines.
- Collaborating closely with experienced technicians to continually build your knowledge and skillset.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Computer literacy and comfort using digital tools
- Willingness and ability to:
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs/ladders
- Work in confined areas and on any shift
- Experience in woodworking, wood finishing, auto body, or painting in a technical setting
- Completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinet making or related field
- Recent participation in a youth apprenticeship program in a skilled trade

Pay Details: $24.50 per hour
