Description:
This is an equipment development, implementation, and improvement role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System. • Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates. • Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. • Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers. • Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability. • Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation. • Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): • Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques • Experience in automation and robotics • Ability to learn in a fast paced environment • Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
