Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Performs operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems with technical proficiency
Installs and functionally tests electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals
Ensures quality and efficiency of all installations and conducts timely, accurate troubleshooting
Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring using proper practices (splicing, soldering, pinning)
Carries out engineering changes and modifications as required
Sets up and operates test equipment; conducts system and component performance evaluations
Completes and documents all work in accordance with inspection requirements
Tests and maintains test equipment and electronic systems
Adheres to company safety policies, including FOD control, tool control, and 5S initiatives
Adapts quickly to schedule changes and shifting priorities
May participate in aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling and two (2) years of related experience
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred
FCC license preferred
NCATT certification preferred
Preferred knowledge of other aircraft systems including hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental systems, or structural repairs
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
