JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic I
LOCATION: Tulsa, OK
PAY RATE: $21.21/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Assemble and fit structural detail parts; perform drilling and riveting operations
Use tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, and reamers
Read and follow work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets
Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, pins, and holding fixtures
Verify all assemblies are free from defects prior to final inspection
Enter labor transactions into the resource planning system accurately
Maintain logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs
Keep work area clean and organized; comply with 5S and safety regulations
Support Lean activities and continuous improvement efforts
Participate in improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and YIAW
Maintain and care for tools and equipment as directed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of structural assembly experience required
Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred
Completion of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program may substitute for 1 year of experience
Basic knowledge of aircraft structures, sheet metal, and fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and a 6" scale
Basic computer and shop math skills
Ability to read and understand documents and instructions in English
Must possess strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to work any shift, including climbing ladders, stands, and stairs
Able to work in small or restricted spaces
Must demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and time management skills
Ability to work with composite resins and materials
Must follow housekeeping and safety practices
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
