PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Relocation Specialist (U.S. Immigration Paralegal) for a full-time, 12-month consultant opportunity in Mesa, AZ, with additional openings in Arlington, VA; Charleston, SC; Chicago, IL; Plano, TX; Seattle, WA; and St. Louis, MO. Position Summary

As a Relocation Specialist, you will manage complex U.S. employment-based immigration cases and cross-border matters throughout the Americas region. Your work will directly support business operations, global workforce movement, and regulatory compliance, playing a key role in facilitating the hiring and relocation of top technical talent.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

Key Responsibilities

• Handle employment-based immigration casework, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-3, green card, and related filings.

• Support cross-border immigration processes in Canada, Mexico, and Latin America.

• Collaborate with recruiters, HR partners, legal, and mobility teams to manage case workflows and employee transitions.

• Respond to employee inquiries and case escalations, providing accurate and timely support.

• Track filings and maintain compliance documentation, including I-9s and public access files.

• Coordinate with external legal counsel and service providers on strategy and documentation.

• Support internal audits and government reviews.

• Contribute to policy improvements, compliance guidance, and team training initiatives.

• Maintain knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and ensure up-to-date internal practices.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience in U.S. business immigration.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience).

• Deep understanding of immigration processes, including H-1B, L-1, PERM, I-140, and I-485.

• Experience handling high-volume, complex casework independently.

• Strong familiarity with case management platforms (e.g., LawLogix, INSZoom, Tracker).

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in legal, HR, and operations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.

• Experience supporting or interfacing with USCIS, DOL, CBP, or DOS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certification or specialized immigration compliance training.

• Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or technology.

• Multilingual capability (Spanish or Portuguese preferred).

• Experience participating in audit responses and vendor management initiatives.
