FAA Assembly & Test Technician
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a FAA Assembly & Test Technician to support aerospace manufacturing operations at a leading facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform standard testing processes on electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems
- Use precision tools and measuring equipment to assemble, inspect, calibrate, and test aerospace components
- Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and quality procedures
- Conduct visual inspections and report non-conformities
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and 5S standards
- Participate in daily tier meetings, continuous improvement, and problem-solving activities
- Work overtime and weekends as needed
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Mechanical and technical experience
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation)
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Intermediate math skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and other precision tools
- 2–3 years of experience in assembly and/or test in a manufacturing environment
- Associate degree or technical certification
- North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)
- Six Sigma training or certification
- Experience with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen events
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and solve issues at the lowest level

- $1,000 after 14 days with perfect attendance
- $1,000 after 60 days
- $1,000 after 90 days

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
