Schedule: Must Be Able to Work Either Shift | Pay Rate: $43.35 /hour + $110/day Per Diem (for non-locals)

Do you have precision, attention to detail, and sealing experience on major assemblies? PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Fuel Cell Sealer to support critical aerospace manufacturing operations in Wichita, KS. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the performance and safety of integral aircraft components.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

About the Role:

As a Fuel Cell Sealer, you'll work with precision in applying various sealing techniques—fillet, fay, cap seal, brush coat—on integral fuel cells and major sub-assemblies. Your work will be essential in ensuring fuel containment integrity, aerodynamic performance, and long-term durability of the aircraft.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Apply sealing compounds ( Scotchcast, leveling compound, aerodynamic sealant) per engineering drawings, documents, and quality specs

• Seal fuel cell areas and related wing section components

• Perform pressure tests and visual inspections for proper seal application

• Complete functional testing and documentation throughout the process

• Read and interpret blueprints, process specs, and work orders

• Use measuring tools and instruments as required

• Perform rework, pickup, or change incorporation as needed

• Report issues related to tools, errors, or procedures

• Support workflow through coaching and assisting across classification levels

Required Qualifications:

• Must be eligible for rehire with Boeing (check status by calling 866-473-2016)

• Must be able to work either shift

• Proven experience with exterior aerodynamic sealing on major assemblies

• Willingness to travel for initial training (held in Wichita, KS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior sealing work on integral fuel cells, wing sections, or major assemblies

• Familiarity with Spirit AeroSystems standards and processes

• Completion of training modules SEA092, SEA083, ASY050 (or willingness to complete)
