Location: Smithfield, PA | Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Pay: $26.06–$28.15/hr

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking detail-driven Assemblers to support  operations in Smithfield, PA. If you have a passion for precision, hands-on work, and contributing to mission-critical aerospace programs, this is your opportunity to assemble the future—one wire harness or panel at a time.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

About the Role:

As an Assembler, you will build intricate electrical wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies for multiple aerospace platforms. This role is critical to supporting the integrity and performance of flight-ready systems, ensuring safety and reliability from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:

• Assemble structural and mechanical sub-systems using detailed schematics and blueprints

• Fabricate and wire electrical components, panels, and box circuit breakers

• Use precision measuring tools to ensure exact specifications are met

• Adapt to evolving production schedules while maintaining a quality- and safety-first mindset

• Interpret engineering drawings and incorporate design changes as needed

• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure on-time delivery

• Travel may be required to support operations at other facilities

What You Bring:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

• 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings

• 1+ years of experience with precision measurement tools

• 1+ years of hands-on fabrication or assembly of mechanical/electrical systems

• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing production demands

• Commitment to safety, quality, and manufacturing excellence

Preferred:

• Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing

• IPC-620 and/or J-STD-001 certification (not required but a plus)

• Familiarity with FOD prevention, ESD handling, and clean room/shop standards

• Understanding of materials properties and basic machine shop processes
