Summary:

This is a non-leadership, non-managerial engineering role supporting the System Stress team.

Responsible for leading the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to support system design and ensure structural integrity across various programs.

Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish and support overall system design.

Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to define the product s operational environment.

Guide product design and validate structural integrity using advanced analytical methods, including finite element models, simulations, and various engineering tools throughout the product lifecycle.

Develop and execute test plans, define test configurations, support test execution, and analyze/report results to verify components and systems meet design requirements and customer/regulatory specifications.

Document certification data and test results to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Support in-service aircraft by leading investigations into structural issues or failures and recommending corrective actions or improvements.

Drive the development and optimization of structural analysis tools and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency across the team.

Operate under minimal supervision with a high degree of technical independence.

Program Focus:

Support is needed for high work volume across various platforms including:

747, 767, 777, and 787 programs

Mechanical/Hydraulic Systems

Flight Controls

High-Lift and Fuel Systems

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.

Typically 9+ years of relevant experience (or a PhD + 4 years, Master s + 7 years).

Proven expertise in structural analysis, finite element modeling, and simulation.

Experience with system-level stress analysis and structural verification.

Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and system requirements.

U.S. ABET accreditation preferred, though not required.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
