About the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Support Engineering Data Specialist to support the Derivative and Bomber Program—an essential component of the U.S. military’s aviation readiness. In this critical role, you’ll analyze and translate engineering, logistics, and maintenance data into clear, actionable support products that keep complex aircraft systems performing at their best.
From spares provisioning to technical publications, your work will influence aircraft reliability, fleet availability, and mission readiness—making you an integral part of the aviation support lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Support Engineering Data Specialist, you will:
Interpret engineering, reliability, supply chain, and maintenance data to develop technical support solutions
Analyze logistics support candidates and create logistics support analysis (LSA) records and reports
Define maintenance, inspection, and support requirements for aircraft systems and components
Determine spares provisioning needs, replacement part levels, and stocking recommendations
Write and maintain technical documents for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of aircraft systems
Support the development of technical publication elements for new or fielded systems and subsystems
Collect, review, and validate source data, identifying and correcting any inconsistencies
Collaborate with engineering and product support teams to ensure accurate and mission-aligned content
Support peer reviews and implement updates based on technical change requests
Evaluate aircraft and fleet performance to shape ongoing support strategies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Strong experience interpreting engineering and logistics data
Proficiency in creating and maintaining maintenance and support documentation
Understanding of aircraft maintenance practices and lifecycle support concepts
Ability to identify data discrepancies and take corrective action
Preferred Qualifications
Background in commercial or military aviation maintenance
Military service or defense industry experience is highly valued
Experience with eMod software and working with SGML format data
Knowledge of technical manual development and DoD maintenance documentation standards
Familiarity with logistics support analysis tools and provisioning systems
