About the Role 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll support the design, layout, and implementation of mechanical systems for material handling projects. You’ll collaborate with engineering specialists and contribute to both in-house design and on-site commissioning, ensuring seamless equipment distribution and process flow. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Technical Contribution 

• Prepare mechanical drawings and multi-level layouts using CAD tools. 

• Support site commissioning and ensure equipment performance. 

• Provide feedback for continuous improvement of systems and processes. 

2. Planning & Control 

• Deliver 2D/3D CAD work on time and within quality standards. 

• Follow project plans, budgets, and schedules. 

3. Processes & Tools 

• Apply standard design practices and tools for accurate modeling. 

• Ensure compliance with project specifications and suggest improvements. 

4. Risk & Opportunity 

• Assist in risk assessments during commissioning. 

• Follow mitigation strategies during equipment distribution. 

5. Customer Interaction 

• Participate in project reviews and support internal/external customer needs. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 

• 3–5 years of industrial experience. 

• Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical layout design. 

• Willingness to travel extensively (70%). 

Preferred: 

• Experience with conveyor systems and material handling. 

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

• Background in mechatronics or robotics is a plus.
