Schedule: Monday to Friday | Variable Shifts | 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM
Pay Rate: $27.13/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our aerospace manufacturing team in North Charleston. In this hands-on role, you will be directly involved in assembling critical components and systems that keep the aerospace industry moving forward. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine assembly operations on structural and mechanical parts, subassemblies, and aircraft systems

• Use manual or automated tools to complete builds according to precise specifications

• Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings

• Collaborate with production teams to solve issues and improve processes

• Identify and report any roadblocks or production challenges

• Support continuous improvement efforts using Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S principles

• Provide mentoring and cross-training to teammates to strengthen team performance

• Participate in team efforts to ensure production goals and quality standards are met

• Work overtime as needed to fulfill customer commitments

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)

• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or fabrication

• 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions in English

• 1+ year of experience using computers for tasks such as email, internet, or basic applications like Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of aerospace industry experience
