Lead the Future of Aerospace IT: Software Developer Needed

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled and driven Information Technology Software Application Developer for a full-time, 3-month consulting role supporting cutting-edge aerospace initiatives. This remote opportunity is open to top-tier professionals across the U.S. who are ready to make an immediate impact by streamlining engineering workflows and optimizing software systems.

Your Mission:

In this critical role, you’ll work on engineering change process improvements, developing and maintaining software architectures for advanced aerospace systems. You’ll oversee Windchill workflow updates that support mission-critical defense programs like PAC-3, eliminate inefficiencies, and align with evolving engineering processes.

This is more than software development—it’s solving complex technical challenges that directly impact national defense capabilities.

Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
 

What You'll Do Day-to-Day:

• Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of complex software system architectures

• Modify Windchill and PLM tools to improve engineering workflows

• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical consultation across multiple projects

• Develop CSCI software requirements, algorithms, designs, and test strategies

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and suppliers to align on software integration and compliance

• Conduct internal and external design reviews and oversee software component requirements

• Support functional workflow additions for engineering change processing and release

• Ensure timely and effective resolution of software integration and operational issues

Position Details:

• Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (3 Months | ~200 hours)

• Pay Rate: $81.55 – $102.19 per hour

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

• Location: Remote (U.S. based) | Optional on-site in Huntsville, AL

• Start Date: ASAP

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Windchill and Windchill modifications

• Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tools

• Strong application development background with the ability to manage complex software systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace or defense-related software development

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
