As an Interior Remove & Install Technician, you’ll directly impact quality, performance, and comfort where it matters most—in the cabin.
As a vital part of our Hartford-based team, you'll work on the removal, installation, and refurbishment of premium aircraft interiors. You’ll ensure every detail reflects precision and excellence, while maintaining safety, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Remove, install, and refurbish interior aircraft components according to work orders and specifications
Disassemble furnishings and hardware; prepare and finish veneer and hardwood materials
Apply stains, paints, polyester base coats, and urethane top coats with a high degree of accuracy
Document all work in compliance with regulatory and procedural standards
Participate in 5-S and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with drop-in aircraft, planned maintenance projects, and off-site assignments when required
Read and interpret engineering drawings and ensure all work aligns with technical standards
Support other maintenance disciplines as needed
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years of aircraft interiors remove and install experience, preferably on corporate jets
Proficiency in cabinet disassembly, inlay removal, hardware handling, and finish stripping
Experience sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood; touch-up and defect correction
Skill in mixing, matching, and applying wood stains and finishes
Familiarity with masking/unmasking techniques for the finish process
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work from engineering drawings
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with touch-up and finish work on aircraft interiors
Familiarity with international aviation assignments or working on specialized platforms
