PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Production Controller (Level 3) to support the laser manufacturing floor in Apopka, FL. This full-time, 12-month consulting opportunity offers you the chance to play an essential role in delivering advanced aerospace systems that define the future of defense and space exploration.

Salary range: $41.45 - $55.00/Hour

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

Your Impact
As a Production Controller, you will be at the core of coordinating fast-paced manufacturing operations. You'll ensure materials, work orders, and production schedules are aligned to meet critical delivery goals. Your role is vital in helping maintain efficiency, minimize delays, and support technological breakthroughs that impact lives globally.

What You’ll Do
As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you will:

• Lead daily production control updates in cross-functional program meetings

• Track and report on material shortages, backorders, and part replacements

• Fulfill material requests promptly to maintain weekly delivery targets

• Expedite make items and prioritize kits with stockroom partners

• Drive aged WIP (Work In Progress) under 60 days

• Perform floor counts and reconcile inventory

• Generate rework orders and facilitate material transfers

• Mentor junior production control team members

• Occasionally lift hardware (up to 30 lbs) and support extended hours or weekends if needed

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 4 years in production control, inventory, or stockroom roles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Experience with PPE and multitasking in dynamic environments

Preferred:

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment

• 4+ years working with ERP systems
