Are you ready to work on cutting-edge aerospace systems that are changing the world? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Machinist to join us in Bethpage, NY. This is a full-time, 3-month contract position offering competitive pay and the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technology with one of the most respected names in the aerospace industry.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

About the Role

As a Machinist, you’ll play a critical role in manufacturing precise components used in advanced aerospace systems. Working with high-tech equipment and interpreting detailed engineering specifications, your contributions will directly impact projects that support national security and future space exploration.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools: lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders.

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings to determine machining steps.

• Develop CNC programs using engineering data and MasterCAM.

• Select appropriate tools, feeds, and speeds to meet exacting tolerances.

• Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical assemblies.

• Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school completion.

• Proficiency with MasterCAM software.

• Strong experience with HAAS vertical and horizontal milling machines.

• Hands-on knowledge of multiple machine tools and processes.

Preferred:

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent practical training.

• Experience fabricating aircraft parts.
