As an Avionics Systems & Software Engineer – MV-75, you’ll play a pivotal role in building advanced avionics systems that push boundaries and inspire the future of flight.
Your day-to-day will be fast-paced and impactful, collaborating with top engineers and program leaders. You will:
Develop software architecture models and high-level component requirements
Perform SysML modeling in MagicDraw/Cameo
Generate and validate system functional requirements from stakeholder expectations
Execute system verification and integration activities
Collaborate with internal and external IPTs, suppliers, and stakeholders
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system integration and verification issues
Coordinate change requests and design changes with safety, security, and certification teams
Ensure timely delivery of requirements, validation/verification efforts, and escalations when needed
Required:
Bachelor’s in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (Other disciplines considered with relevant experience)
Experience in avionics systems development or design
Familiarity with MBSE tools (e.g., EA Sparx, IBM Rhapsody, MagicDraw/Cameo)
Proficiency with configuration management (SVN, Git, Clearcase, Dimensions) and requirements management (DOORS)
Working knowledge of engineering processes including system validation, verification, integration, and safety
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to manage performance to cost and schedule targets
Preferred:
Experience with DO-297, DO-178, and/or DO-331
Background with A653 partition-based operating systems
FAA/EASA/NAA certification experience
