Program Support Specialist – Help Power the Future of Aerospace
Location: Fairfield, CA | Type: Full-Time, Consultant (6-Month Contract) | Pay Rate: $65.31/hour | Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week
PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a highly capable Program Support Specialist to join our team supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in Fairfield, CA. In this critical role, you’ll work side-by-side with program leadership to ensure seamless execution of aerospace programs—from development through delivery. You’ll serve as the connective tissue across engineering, operations, finance, and logistics, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
As a Program Support Specialist, you’ll act as the right hand to the Value Stream Leader (VSL), helping drive program excellence from start to finish. Responsibilities include:
Supporting program execution teams with financial tracking, risk management, subcontract coordination, and schedule support
Managing internal and external communication to ensure alignment across operations, engineering, and customer stakeholders
Tracking key contract deliverables (CDRLs) and assisting in execution reporting and performance metrics
Providing insight into supply chain status, sales forecasts, and factory readiness
Maintaining Excel-based dashboards and reports to support real-time decision-making
Assisting with Last Time Buy management and obsolescence tracking
Coordinating cross-departmental inputs to ensure timely delivery of products and services
Serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, including procurement agents and engineering teams
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience (program coordination, operations, business, or technical fields)
OR 6+ years of relevant work experience without a degree
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
SAP experience with sales order execution, hardware delivery, and repair tracking
Experience working with international business processes or global trade compliance
Familiarity with risk management practices and customer support processes
Prior exposure to demand planning, sales forecasting, or program scheduling
Understanding of program management systems and coordination of cross-functional teams
