PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a full-time Engineering Release Specialist to support aerospace engineering operations at Altus AFB, OK. This is an entry-level opportunity that offers hands-on experience with critical engineering and configuration data processes — perfect for tech-savvy individuals looking to grow in the aerospace field.

About the Role

• Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-month assignment)

• Location: Altus Air Force Base, OK

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Possible Overtime

• Pay Rate: $37.21 – $40.00 per hour

As an Engineering Release Specialist, you will assist the Configuration Management (CM) Lead in maintaining technical and regulatory integrity of aerospace systems. You’ll support the documentation, tracking, and release of engineering data and configuration items (CIs), contributing to mission-critical product readiness and compliance.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.  

What You’ll Do

• Assist in the development and implementation of plans and processes for configuration control and data management

• Ensure aerospace products meet technical, regulatory, and company standards

• Help maintain configuration records in accordance with contractual requirements

• Scan, upload, and manage engineering documents and digital assets

• Support audits and reviews to confirm adherence to compliance and certification standards

• Collaborate with the CM Lead and engineering teams to streamline documentation workflows

• Apply Microsoft Access, Excel, and other tools to organize and analyze technical data

Required Qualifications

• Strong computer proficiency — comfortable navigating digital systems and file structures

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Access and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a data-driven or administrative support role

• Experience with document scanning, uploading, and data organization

• Familiarity with configuration or data management processes
