We're looking for an experienced Technician, Avionics and Electronics – Evening Shift to join a dynamic aviation team in Hartford, CT. In this hands-on position, you'll be working on some of the most advanced business jets and specialized aircraft platforms in the world—directly contributing to their performance, safety, and reliability.
You’ll be a key player in ensuring aircraft electrical and avionics systems operate flawlessly, performing a wide range of tasks, including:
Troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electrical systems
Conducting preflight and postflight electrical inspections
Installing/removing Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), test equipment, and wiring harnesses
Supporting Flight Test Profiles (FTP) and aircraft launch/recovery
Reading and interpreting engineering documents to perform precise modifications
Verifying and documenting system performance using functional test equipment
Performing wiring repairs and component-level troubleshooting as needed
Ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and aircraft certification standards
Preparing aircraft for airworthiness inspections and resolving discrepancies
Required:
2+ years of avionics/electrical system experience or equivalent military/vendor training
Knowledge of power-on procedures, safety protocols, and flight-line operations
Familiarity with digital/analog systems and AC/DC electrical theory
Ability to operate avionics test equipment and troubleshoot systems accurately
Experience reading engineering drawings and maintenance documentation
Strong awareness of electrical safety and hazard recognition
Preferred:
Certification from a recognized avionics technical school
Component-level repair experience
Understanding of Production Certificate Systems
Previous experience working on business jets or mission platforms
