Pay Range: $45.00/hour

We’re looking for a skilled Lead Avionics and Electronics Technician to join our evening shift team in Hartford, CT. In this high-impact role, you’ll be the go-to expert for all avionics-related tasks—guiding hands-on work, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring everything from preflight inspections to final installations meets the highest standards of excellence.

As Lead Technician, you’ll collaborate closely with the airframe lead and act as the primary point of contact for all avionics and electronics responsibilities. You’ll streamline workflows, solve complex technical issues, and ensure every system you touch contributes to safe, high-performing aircraft.
Lead and execute avionics and electronics troubleshooting, installation, and repair
Coordinate priorities and escalate manpower needs to meet critical project deadlines
Perform preflight inspections, install/remove LRUs, test equipment, and aircraft wiring
Set up aircraft for electrical and avionics functional test procedures (FTPs)
Launch and recover aircraft while addressing pre/post-flight discrepancies
Ensure compliance with 14 CFR (FARs) for time-sensitive equipment
Remove/reinstall aircraft panels for inspection, repair, and certification readiness
Maintain accurate records of discrepancies, logs, and modification notices
Required:
Minimum 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics/electrical systems
At least 1 year in a production flight environment
A&P or Repairman certification
Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation
Strong working knowledge of aircraft safety, systems, and support equipment
Ability to troubleshoot digital and analog systems
Preferred:
Leadership or lead technician experience
Engine run certification (for at least one current production model)
Familiarity with Production Certificate Systems
Component-level repair experience
Ability to earn Product Verification Certification
