Job Type: Full-time; Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Chula Vista, CA The position is working in a Remote capacity. Travel will be on an as-needed basis, not to exceed 25%.
Schedule: Monday to Friday; First Shift 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay Rate: $48.94 per hour
About the Role
As a Contract Administrator you’ll oversee complex, global service and non-product contracts. This role is crucial in aligning business objectives with legal strategy, advising stakeholders, and ensuring all agreements meet the highest standards of compliance and performance. You'll work remotely with occasional travel, managing significant contracts and contributing directly to the success of key business initiatives.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Draft, interpret, and manage high-value, global service and non-product contract documents
Provide guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and legal strategy to internal stakeholders
Represent the organization in legal contract matters and negotiations
Coach junior professionals and review their work for alignment with objectives
Develop negotiation strategies and lead contract discussions with external partners
Maintain comprehensive contract databases and historical records
Prepare legal documentation to support negotiations and relationships
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years
Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal strategy
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple mid- to large-scale contract projects
Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctorate or paralegal certification
Experience with various service agreements, including licensing, data privacy, and consulting
