Structures Installation Mechanic – Fuel Cell Sealing & Structural Assembly Expert
Location: Tulsa, OK | Pay: $45–$48/hr | Full-Time Consultant (3 Months)
2nd Shift (with potential for weekends & other shifts as needed)
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Structures Installation Mechanic (Level 4D) for an exciting aerospace opportunity in Tulsa, OK. If you have a sharp eye for detail, hands-on experience in fuel cell sealing, and a solid background in structural aircraft assembly, this is your chance to join a team that plays a critical role in aircraft performance and safety.

You’ll work on assembling, sealing, rigging, and inspecting aircraft structures to meet the highest engineering and quality standards. Your tasks will include:
Assembling and installing structural and system components per drawings and specifications
Performing advanced sealing operations on wing box panels and fuel cells
Using precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and functionality
Executing complex structural assembly using Hi-Loks, rivets, nutplates, and torque fasteners
Drilling, countersinking, bucking, and shooting rivets in aluminum and titanium components
Participating in pressure and vacuum tests, rigging doors, and completing sealing/fitting operations
Documenting discrepancies and initiating corrective actions as needed
Assisting and mentoring other team members and supporting workflow across shifts
Performing visual inspections and operating CNC fastening equipment as required
Required Qualifications:
5–10 years of experience in structural aircraft assembly
Documented sealing experience—fuel cell and wing box panel sealing required
Proficient with precision hand tools and electronic measurement equipment
Experience with:
Hi-Lok, Rivet, Nutplate installation
Drilling, countersinking aluminum/titanium
Bucking/shooting rivets
Sheet metal assembly
Willingness to work 2nd shift, weekends, and other shifts as needed
Ability to pass a Plate Test (failure results in immediate contract termination)
Familiarity with aerospace drawings, specifications, and documentation standards
Preferred Skills:
CNC fastening equipment operation (e.g., MTGR, Brotje, IPAC)
Cross-training in inspection and documentation processes
