JOB TITLE: Aircraft Inspector - VIP Jets
LOCATION: Van Nuys, CA
PAY RATE: Up to $50/hour

Job Details:

Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Shift: Sunday Wednesday, 12:30 PM 11:30 PM

Qualifying Questions:

Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?

Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary:

Perform in-process and final inspections of aircraft maintenance work

Ensure maintenance records, reports, and forms are accurately completed for on-time RTS

Provide technical guidance on inspection procedures, standards, and practices

Verify compliance with FAA regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, and Air Carrier/Operator policies

Assist with revisions to SOPs, QC Manuals, and Safety Bulletins

Guard against the use of unapproved parts during procurement and parts reception

Support Chief Inspector with training records, vendor audits, and tool calibration

Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety and quality

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Requirements:

FAA-approved flight safety training (e.g., CAE or OEM training)

Bachelor's degree in a related field

5 7 years of experience in Part 145 corporate aircraft maintenance

FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (Inspection Authorization is a plus)

Strong working knowledge of FAR 145 and 135

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must have 3+ years of experience inspecting both Gulfstream (G4, G450, G5) and Bombardier aircraft

(Preference for candidates with experience on both; will consider those with strong experience on one type)

RII inspection background required

RTS Inspector Requirements:

2 years of experience on specific aircraft model or relevant training with certification

6 months experience as a Return-to-Service Inspector

RII Inspector Requirements:

5 years as an A&P Technician

2 years experience on specific aircraft model or relevant training with certification
