Description:
Modeling and Simulation - Software Engineer
The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is looking for world class talent in Systems Integration and Test (I&T) Engineering to be a part of a team that will carry on our 75 year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

Candidate will join a Modeling and Simulation Team within an I&T Organization responsible for the integration and test of Modeling and Simulation capabilities. The candidate will architect and implement Modeling and Simulation features that may be easily substituted with real equipment and hardware. The candidate will be heavily involved in developing and maintaining AFSIM plugins and scenarios.

Further responsibilities include hardware and system integration, non-AFSIM software development, ability to communicate software architecture in a graphical format (i.e. UML) and CI-CD pipeline management.

The successful candidate will need to pass a security screening before interview. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Other Engineering degrees considered with significant engineering software development experience.
• Experience with AFSIM and developing / modifying AFSIM plugins
• Experience with programming software languages such as C++, Python and/or Java.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming Principles
• ***Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim Secret clearance required to start.***

Desired Qualifications
• Rhapsody, MagicDraw or other model-based software development
• C#, Python, and/or PERL
• Agile Software Development Experience
• Experience in the Operations Analysis field
• Experience with Modeling and Simulation environments / approaches
• Ability to Travel
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
• Strong decision making and judgment
• Oral and written communication skills.



Suppliers can submit fully qualified candidates over the pay rate range. Rates will be evaluated on case by case basis based off of the candidate's qualifications in respect to the position.
