Electrical Engineer

Description:
Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.
Develops high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
Validates designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis.
Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.
Supports Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope.
Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Works under general direction.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering; Electrical Engineering or combination engineering and Journeyman
- Engineering circuit analysis
- Engineering systems
- Failure Analysis

Experience Level:
5-10 years relevant experience; may come from another industry

Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Call Notes:
- Project with Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM); Weapons on B-52
- Electrical engineering design/analysis
- Requires a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- This position will require the candidate to evaluate existing hardware and troubleshoot circuits and components resistors, capacitors, etc - come up with recommendations to replace the components
- Has been around for a number of years so they are looking for ways to implement new technology to extend life
- Digital/analog electrical circuits, experience with failure modes analysis
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical and electronic circuits
- 4 positions these projects not contingent upon contract award, do have the work and a set contract for analysis
- Long term need would depend on decision to implement change: Make recommendations to USAF; if they want to make changes, they setup a program and implement refurbishes; last few have been successful and turning into production or refurb projects;

Established team or individual:
Quinton is involved with the goal setting and technical direction is from the lead engineer- have about 6 people now and need around 10 total; for the most part they are working onsite; one individual is on a hybrid schedule because of the work he is doing (doesnt require them to be there all of the time); check in with engineers about every other day to stay on task

Analysis:
Windchill or any failure mode and effect analysis software; experience with Mentor Graphics analysis tools for circuit diagrams would also be helpful
