Facilities Support - Level 3 - TX - P/T

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Facilities Support - Level 3 for an opening in Grand Prairie, TX.

1. The Estimator will perform a variety of estimating duties from rough order of magnitude to developing detailed scope of work estimates for the establishment of budgets. The Estimator assists the Layout, Design Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Architectural/Structural), and Project Managers in development of Cost Estimates, and reviews the progress of existing projects to ensure their completion within the parameters of the established project budget. The Estimator will need broad experience and a thorough understanding of construction estimating with a strong knowledge in bidding processes for complex, long term/multi-year project construction management activities for a multitude of simultaneous construction projects. The Estimator shall be a self-starter, developing estimates with little supervision. Must be able to meet critical deadlines, as well as to work as part of a team. a. Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required documentation is present, accurate and distribute accordingly. b. Has a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades. c. Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and venders. d. Develop conceptual ROM estimates for budgeting and planning as well as full-scope estimates based on Bid-Build construction documents. e. Critically analyze the bid documents and understand risk and opportunities and articulate those to management. f. Organize the bid team, providing leadership and direction with regards to means and methods, schedule and strategy. g. Gather and monitor actual cost vs. estimated cost, maintaining project cost history. h. Perform Quantity and cost take-offs on change orders i. Prepare Cost accounting for materials owner billings.

b. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. c. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project, Proficiency with RS Means or comparable Estimating software. e. Must be able to manage tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.

SAP knowledge, Micro Station/AutoCAD knowledge

Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or related degree is desired, with 3-5 years' experience working on complex, long term/multi-year project construction management activities for a multitude of simultaneous construction projects.
