Mid- Level Product Specialist (Product Management)

Work Sites: North Charleston, SC - El Segundo, CA Everett, WA Hazelwood, MO Mesa, AZ or Seattle, WA

Performs activities to support market opportunities for Information Technology products. Gathers data on customer needs to identify product opportunities. Assists with business cases. Writes business and functional requirements for product improvements based on customer requests. Gathers materials for product demonstrations. Gathers data related to financial targets.

Job Description Qualifications:

Product Systems Information Technology & Data Analytics organization is seeking a Mid-Level Product Management Specialist to join our team on our product management journey. In this position, you will lead the team accountable for end-to-end delivery of the Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) applications. You will leverage your expertise to lead Agile practices at the team level to perform product manager and product owner responsibilities across these M&Q enterprise applications. You will be defining product roadmaps; creating and driving product strategy, working with stakeholders to develop cases for new features, building and refining team backlogs; leading agile planning, enabling execution, coordinating with internal and external teammates to clear roadblocks, coaching the team to higher Agile maturity; analyzing requirements, architecture, integrations, functionality, and data; and working with cross-functional teams to enable IT transformation.
Position Responsibilities:
Create and maintain integrated IT Product Roadmap
Create and maintain IT Product Business Case
Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the systems supporting Manufacturing & Quality operations; their user groups, use cases, functionality, data, integrations, architecture, and technical stack.
Engage with product owners and business subject matter experts to understand business needs and production issues.
Engage with IT architecture, development, infrastructure, and operation teams to identify technical requirements for IT security compliance, technical debt elimination, scalability, performance, architecture standards, and modernization.
Partner with key stakeholders to develop system vision and roadmaps.
Independently lead Agile planning practices in multiple teams. Ensure visibility of work and deliverables, limit work in progress, manage work flow, plan and execute through backlog refinement (define and prioritize epics, features, stories), program increment planning, sprint/iteration planning, daily stand ups, product demos, and retrospectives practices.
Drive progress towards objectives, key performance indicators, and commitments. Focus teams on customer value and first time quality. Remove team-level impediments, anticipate challenges, identify risks, and execute mitigations and solutions.
Facilitate open communication among team members and stakeholders. Promote positive team dynamics to ensure members collaborate and work effectively.
Increase the overall Agile maturity and performance of teams. Practice and encourage Agile mindset and behaviors. Support Agile teams that have various levels of agile maturity and actively work to upskill those teams in agile practices to improve on first time quality and productivity.
Actively work towards the success of IT transformation, demonstrating adaptability and growth mindset.
Produce deliverables for IT transformation, process improvement, and to support external requests, independently or by coordinating with others.
Maintain a productive sense of urgency, make progress on multiple priorities, and deliver to plan.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen,
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience leading teams in the values, principles and practices of Agile Methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
1+ years of experience in developing and communicating product vision; capturing and modeling end-user and stakeholder needs (functional & non-functional) to lead backlog refinement and product development
1+ years of experience with building relationships with stakeholders
Experience in a customer facing environment and have been directly involved in gathering requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Manufacturing or Quality systems and/or processes
Experience in managing product backlog, writing user stories, and managing releases
Experience with working with test approaches and prioritization with development teams
Experience in exercising system level analysis skills
Experience of broad-based computing system architecture experience
Experience with providing instruction, positive models, and opportunities for observation in order to help other project managers
Experience with empathetic user-centric design practices
Experience working in ADO for Features, User Stories, and Reports
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Skills: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
