Chipton Ross is seeking a Commodity Manager in Milwaukee, WI.

Job Description:
As Commodity Manager, act as a project manager, leading cross-functional resources in key strategic sourcing and operation excellence initiatives with project accountability for the strategic sourcing function. Leverage your previous experience to develop and manage annual, multi-year commodity strategies and objectives along with optimizing total material cost and return on procured assets. Develop a global sourcing strategy consistent with corporate strategic objectives to secure supplier selections based on organizational requirements.

Working closely with the broader Sourcing Organization, including both the Global Business Unit and Corporate Commodity teams, develop and administer, on a global multi-plant wide basis, dependable and progressive sources of supply, managing optimal procurement arrangements/methods for consolidated commodity requirements driving year over year cost reductions and utilizing life cycle procurement where applicable.
As a collaborative partner, ensure that suppliers are rated consistently and fairly, ensure timely feedback to suppliers regarding performance, and that collaboration and communication is effective between suppliers and the broader business. Interact with New Product Development teams to ensure early design involvement into new products.

Act as a consultative resource to all Front-Line Care global locations on New Product Development to include support with financial budgeting, technology research, supplier liaison and full support, start to finish, for prototype/production integrations ensuring a supply base that compliments and exceeds needed technologies and directives. Utilize sourcing experience to provide leadership to internal stakeholders, external suppliers and customers by establishing team involvement and proactive feedback.

Be the primary contact for key suppliers within your commodities and develop a working relationship that drive a reliable supply chain and competitive prices.

Support a broad range of commodities including but not limited to Mechanical (plastics, metals, packaging) electronics (PCBAs, Cables/Wire Harnesses, Displays, Batteries) and several SG&A, Capital or expense related commodities when necessary.

o Mechanical / Electrical commodity experience and/or strong technical aptitude relating to these categories required.
o Proven success in negotiating contracts that deliver robust supply chain solutions and tangible cost savings on an annual basis.
o Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
o Experience with Mexican, European, and Asian supply chain partners
o Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
o Ability to lead a cross functional commodity team by clearly defining duties, performance objectives and deliverables.
o ISM, CPM, APICS or CPIM certification is desirable, not required.
o SAP knowledge desired, not required.
o Travel 10% domestically and internationally.

o Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management,
Engineering or related discipline.
