Position Details:
Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic II
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (9 MONTHS)
Location: San Antonio, TX 78226
Schedule: Must be flexible on the shift
Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Requirements:
Experience Matters: You should have a minimum of 4 years of on-aircraft heavy structures experience.
Skills Showcase:
Demonstrated experience in close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures (including doublers, triplers, seat tracks, planks, and stringers).
Thorough knowledge of aircraft repair procedures and part replacement.
Familiarity with aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
Proficiency in using unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
Responsibilities: As an Aircraft Mechanic II, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing aircraft structures. Your tasks will include:
Performing close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation on critical support structures and fracture critical areas.
Locating blind holes for the installation of new structural components.
Sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structures following standard repair processes.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for structural modification and repair.
Efficiently accessing and navigating computer systems for work instructions, drawings, and training.
Operating forklifts, mobile cranes, and riding-type electric-powered elevating equipment.
Certifications and Permits:
Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits required for assigned work.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
