Composite Assembly Technician

Description:
Job Qualifications:

Composite assembly technician experienced at reading drawings and fabricating composite assemblies. Familiar with working with lightweight/fragile composite parts.

Specific Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for working from verbal instructions and drawings to fabricate composite aircraft assemblies leading to completion of prototype aircraft.
Responsible for handling, mixing and applying various resin/catalyst materials.
Responsible for performing simple and complex composite bonding and repairs when needed.
Responsible for use of hand and power tools such as routers, drills, die grinders and other like tools to complete operations required by work instructions.
Responsible for use of precision measurement tools to complete their work.
Also responsible for maintaining a neat orderly work area, comply with housekeeping, quality, FOD and safety procedures.
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience fabricating composite assemblies.
Basic understanding of math and measurement regarding composite assembly.
Ability to work as a team player to complete an assigned task. Initiative, self-starter, adaptable and high motivation for excellence.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.
Capable of working on their feet for long periods of time to complete their work.
Capable of bending over to do their work. Capable of lifting 50 lbs. when needed.
