Software Engineer

Description:
Our client is looking for a Software Engineer! If you meet the qualifications and have the experienced required, then please submit your resume today!

The ideal candidate for this position will perform the following tasks:
* Support computational systems architecture and system software for real-time simulation applications
* Create new and modified simulation models using established modeling techniques; and work closely with other engineering disciplines.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
* Active DoD Secret Clearance within a six year investigation period REQUIRE
* BS Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience required
* Ability to apply sound engineering principles and develop innovative solutions
* Demonstrated ability to design, develop, document, test and debug simulation software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
* Experience implementing functional requirements for computer software
* Software languages – FORTRAN, C/C++, Ada
* ClearCase experience a plus
* General computer skills including use of Microsoft Office products

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* Software engineering experience – mid-level preferred
* Linux and Unix experience a plus
* Familiarity with aircraft avionics 1553 protocol and simulator experience
* Experience working in a production environment
* Knowledge of different testing methodologies (e.g., White/Gray/Black box testing)
* Experience with Flight Simulation and/or Radar Systems

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and characteristics:
* Excellent communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening
* Proven success in a fast paced development environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS)
