Job Title: Associate Tool & Gage Technician

Job Type: Full-time; Consultant (9 Months)

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $21.30 per hour

Job Description:

As an Associate Tool & Gage Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our manufacturing and assembly operations. This entry-level position offers direct training in setting and adjusting gages to meet the standards required by our manufacturing and assembly departments.

Responsibilities:

·       Utilizing gage blocks, horizontal trimos, and other gage setting devices to maintain precision and accuracy.

·       Maintaining electronic inventory records using SAP or similar systems, including calibration records for all gages issued and returned.

·       Handling the receiving, storing, issuing, and delivery of perishable tooling, fixtures, gages, shop supplies, and safety items.

·       Demonstrating proficiency in database systems relevant to the department, with a willingness to learn and adapt.

·       Collaborating with internal and external associates in a team environment to ensure seamless operations.

·       Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

·       Solving problems of moderate scope independently, with complex issues referred to the department Supervisor or Manager.

·       Demonstrating knowledge or willingness to learn about gage setting, perishable cutting tools, grinding wheels, fixtures, and abrasive products.

·       Utilizing computer skills as needed, with training provided as necessary.

Requirements:

·       High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.

·       Ability to take direction, work collaboratively in a team environment, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

·       Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle moderate scope issues independently.

·       Knowledge of gage setting, perishable cutting tools, or related products is a plus.

·       Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to forty pounds, and obtain or train for a forklift license.

·       Basic computer skills preferred, with a willingness to learn and adapt as needed.
